Pat Heiserman

I’m a guitarist, singer and songwriter. Fortunately, I come from a family that loves music and I grew up around it. When I was young and just starting elementary school, my parents had friends over to the house to “Jam”. Early influence came from that time in my life. I began listening to the Rolling Stones, the Beatles, Jimi Hendrix, Led Zeppelin, the Who, the Doors, Neil Young, the Beach Boys, the Yardbirds, and the Kinks. Also, I very much enjoy the orchestra and big band compositions featured in the old Looney Tunes, Tom and Jerry, Popeye and Disney cartoons, the Three Stooges, the Marx Brothers, Laurel and Hardy, movies and shorts. Music has always been a big part of my life. While many in my age group were listening to the latest “flavor of the month” bands in the early 80’s, I was getting into music legends who started in the 60’s. It’s funny looking back because not many of my friends really liked what I listened to until years later. Although it may not be directly obvious in the music that I write, I love classical music. Frederic Chopin is my favorite.

I’ve been playing electric and acoustic guitar for over 25 years. Local guitar great, Bill McKeen was my instructor for a couple of years. I am most passionate about writing and performing original music. Most recently I’ve been performing solo acoustic shows in various venues in and around Steubenville, OH, Pittsburgh, PA, and Weirton, WV. I mostly perform in restaurants or indoor and outdoor concert venues. In 2010 I was hit with some setbacks due to health reasons. I’ve made the decision to avoid venues that permit smoking indoors and it has paid off. I’m healthy, feeling better than ever & I’m ready to go! I’m interested in working with other musicians who have similar interests and a desire to write music.
